Notes:  Overview: This article presents the results of a US investigation of 213 individuals who took part in a longitudinal study which examined the relationship between familial physical and verbal aggression during the adolescence of the target group and subsequent aggression directed at partners by the target group.

Interestingly, parental aggression towards the adolescent target group was more highly predictive of the target group’s being a victim of their subsequent partners’ aggression.
