Notes:  Overview: This research paper investigates adolescents who engage in sexually inappropriate behaviour, specifically those who perpetrate adolescent sibling incest. It offers a profile of intrafamilial adolescent sex offenders (IASOs) and presents typologies of IASOs before it considers the kinds of treatment programs used in this area.
A four-year investigation of a treatment service in Western Australia for IASOs provides the basis for discussion of successful treatment programs. The authors conclude that the approach to treatment of adolescent sex offenders should be health-based rather than morality-based.
