Notes:  Dr Bruce Perry, a leading international expert in children's mental health, conducted a workshop tour of Australia organised by Berry Street in Melbourne during which he showcased exciting new therapeutic work with children who have experienced complex trauma, such as those living with domestic violence.

This article highlights some of the key points from the workshops, and briefly address the new knowledge base in which Dr Perry's work is anchored, with a focus on some of the bridges between research and practice that are being built and that provide cause for optimism and hope for children who are harmed by domestic violence.
