Notes:  General Overview: :This South Australian journal article reports on a study which examined the barriers to human services working collaboratively to better address the needs of clients experiencing domestic and family violence. The study was conducted by a researcher from the University of South Australia and commissioned by Centracare, based in a rural community in South Australia

Discussion: :The authors found that many workers were did not know what services were available, that services had different philosophies around domestic and family violence that made collaboration difficult and that there was poor communication between workers from different services. Recommendations were made to improve coordination and evaluation and the implementation of these recommendations is to be evaluated during 2008 and 2009.
