Notes: | This article examines the myriad challenges posed to health care workers when working with women who have experienced domestic violence. The article presents data from focus group interviews conducted with health care professionals in Finland including nurses, physicians, social workers and psychologists which aimed to elucidate the organisational responses of these professionals to the particular needs of domestic violence victims. The authors highlight the omission of domestic violence referrals and screenings in service structures and practices. |
