Notes:	Provides an overview of the literature relating to women’s organisations and management and feminist approaches to management of social service agencies before highlighting some of the key problems faced by these organisations in implementing characteristically feminist strategies and policies. Domestic violence and responses by service providers are used to illustrate some of the challenges faced by the feminist approach and the contradictions feminist practitioners face in day-to-day interactions with clients, agencies and bureaucracies.
