Notes:  This US-based article examines the physical and mental health impacts of intimate partner violence on victims in the context of accessing mental health services through court-based settings. The authors used surveys completed by 95 women seeking legal orders through the New York Domestic Violence Intensive Intervention Court. Survey respondents reported decreased mental and social functioning and a willingness to use court-based mental health services if available.
