Notes:  Drawing upon his experiences in the field, the author highlights some of the major flaws inherent within conventional counselling-based approaches to working with violent men, and outlines some of the ideas proposed by Glasser which he has used to guide his practice in this area. Other theories and methodologies which have been useful, such as psychodrama, are also mentioned and a case study is used to illustrate the impact alternative approaches to counselling can have.
