Notes:	This study explores the attitudes, values and beliefs of university and secondary school students on the subject of sexual assault. The sample consisted of 300 males and 308 females ranging from 15.9 to 24.2 years of age. The methodology involved brief, anonymous, self-administered questionnaires that included scales of attitudes toward women and rape victims and dating scenarios with sexual coercion. Consistent with overseas research, males and secondary students were more likely to blame the victim for the rape and held more traditional perceptions about the role of women. Female students attributed significantly more responsibility for the rape to the male subject across all scenarios.
