Overviews the changes being made by the Queensland Police Service to be more sensitive and aware of domestic violence in lesbian relationships. Women in the lesbian, bisexual, transgendered communities rarely contact police regarding domestic violence issues due to fear of discrimination and police harassment. By undertaking the training of police, the program, developed in relation to the Domestic Violence (Family Protection) Amendment Act 1999, aims to provide a non-discriminatory response to women in these communities.
