Notes:	Reports the findings of a study of police responses to domestic violence, exploring both the various steps taken by police in different circumstances and the perceptions of victims and community workers in relation to those responses. Suggests that there has not been sufficient implementation of family violence procedure guidelines, that police responses continue to be inconsistent, guided largely by discretion, and that this is due in part to a lack of education and training in the field.
