Notes:	From the issue "Forum: Family Violence in Indigenous Communities; Breaking the Silence?" Discusses crime prevention programmes directed to the Indigenous male population, including adults, youth and children. The author indicates the characteristics that effective programmes possess: an holistic approach; the involvement of community members; a perspective of self-determination; and culturally appropriate content and staff. The article mentions programmes executed through community-based organisations and court-mandated and court-referred programmes for offenders. Projects which focused on working with Indigenous adolescents to prevent family violence are also considered.
