Notes:  A social cost-benefit study of domestic violence shelters services in Kingman, Arizona. The authors calculated the total costs by adding operational, social justice, public assistance and productivity costs. To calculate benefits, information was obtained on injuries averted and mental health benefits. They concluded that 'net social benefits outweigh the social costs (lower estimates benefits minus upper estimate costs) with net social benefits being US$3.2 million".
