Notes:  This article reports on the findings of a study into the relation between four ‘clusters’ of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and revictimisation. The four clusters are reexperiencing, arousal, avoidance and numbing. The study used a sample of 156 women in the Netherlands who had accessed victim support services. The authors concluded that women with high levels of PTSD are more likely to inflict intimate partner violence (IPV).
