Argues the importance of a feminist analysis of domestic violence that includes consideration of race, class, sexual orientation, disability, geographical isolation and specific factors that put women at risk of discrimination and abuse. Outlines various recommendations for future development including a national survey on violence against women and the establishment of research centres on violence against women.
