Notes: | This article reports on the findings of a research project examining relocation cases litigated prior to the 2006 reforms to the Family Law Act 1975:(Cth). The study involved the analysis of 190 judgments of the Family Court of Australia between 2002 and 2004 and qualitative interviews with 38 parties to relocation disputes litigated between 2002 and 2005. The authors found that in the majority of cases, relocation post-separation is more a product of existing conflict than a single source of conflict. |
