Discussion: :This report describes the operation of the Waitakere Family Violence Court, discusses the role of NGOs in the court, describes programs provides to victims and offenders and describes the perceptions of victims involved with the court. The report finds that the WFVC has been successful in collaborating with the community and taking violence seriously. The authors recommend the development of closer relations with the Family Court, more extensive victim services and extended specialist services
