Notes:	Discusses a participatory action research project currently being undertaken by the RDNS (Royal District Nursing Service of SA) Research Unit aimed at identifying health strategies for preventing violence against young women. The concepts of ‘romantic love’ and ‘relationship violence’ are explained and a background to the longitudinal study is provided. What distinguishes the study from previous research, as well as the ways in which the proposed project will potentially contribute to nursing practice, are highlighted and a list of useful websites and other resources is included.
