Notes: | This US study examined intimate partner violence (IPV) experienced by women using a cross-sectional, clinic-based survey of 1478 women to measure the prevalence of physical, sexual and psychological IPV over the course of a year. The study was conducted from November 2007 to July 2008. The article concludes that while women in rural and isolated areas report the highest prevalence of IPV they live furthest from available support programs. |
