Notes: | This article provides results from a US study that surveyed 91 police officers about their experiences of and training for same-sex domestic violence incidents. While a majority of officers reported they had attended a call for same-sex domestic violence at least once in their career, only a few reported specific police procedures were in place. More than a quarter reported general training in issues that might affect the gay, lesbian, transgendered and/or bisexual community and more than a quarter reported specific training in same-sex domestic violence. |
