Title: Stepping through the door: First steps towards a fully integrated homelessness response in Western Australia
Other Titles: Parity
Authors: Jamieson, Karoline
Year: 2012
Citation: No 9 Vol.: 25
Notes:  Communicare has been operating in WA since 1977 and has always had a strong focus on the impact of family and domestic violence on children and families and the well documented relationship between family and domestic violence and homelessness (Chung et al 2000). Communicare has developed and provides a range of services across the family and domestic violence spectrum aimed at early intervention, integrated service systems and breaking the cycle of homelessness for families impacted by family and domestic violence. Communicare therefore welcomed and embraced the NAHA and NPAH initiatives and the vision, principles and key actions of the Western Australian Homelessness State Plan 2010-2013: Opening Doors to Address Homelessness.
