Notes:  In this UK article, Devries et al. present an overview of the prevalence of intimate partner violence (IPV) against women across the world. Their two-step research process involved reviewing existing statistical information on this area and using classical meta-regression methods to approximate the prevalence of IPV across a woman’s lifetime. The authors then explore a number of implications for policy and recommendations for future focus, including challenging unhelpful social attitudes and improving intervention strategies.
