Notes: | This small qualitative study, aimed at gaining a better understanding of victims of IPV, was conducted in an emergency department of a regional hospital in Hong Kong. The study concludes that health professionals need to assess the immediate physical and emotional needs of victims, be empathetic and show acceptance towards the woman, and assess home safety before discharge. |
