Notes:	The article is an exploration of women's homelessness. Three particular points of reference inform this article. Firstly, the concept of 'homelessness' discussed within this article is specific to that which arises from an experience of domestic violence against women. Secondly, this article refers to the crisis response to this state of homelessness rather than long term housing issues. Thirdly, discussion with regard to policy is related to the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP), Commonwealth and State government's primary response to issues of homelessness.Although this article was published 14 years ago, many of its arguments and the issues it covers are clearly relevant today.
