General Overview: ‘A Right to Respect’ is the Victorian Government’s ten year plan (2010-2020)to prevent violence against women.

Discussion: This policy document presents a ten year framework to significantly reduce violence against women and promote equality between the genders in relationships, communities, organisations, government legislation and society. It sets out the Government’s vision, guiding principles, goals and strategies, discusses the approach of the framework and the policy context. A commitment is made to three year implementation plans, reporting mechanisms, conducting evaluation and stakeholder review.
