Notes:	General Overview: This Queensland protocol provides guidance to local court staff in assisting people seeking protection from domestic violence. It details what information should be provided to the client and useful referrals. It explains how to reassure clients and avoid being judgmental. Workers are asked to be sensitive to the particular circumstances of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from non English speaking background, people with impairments and disabilities, older adults, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
