"Little to no research exists on IPV within transgender relationships. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between gender identity, gender role beliefs, sex-assigned-at-birth, sexual orientation, and the experience of IPV. This project aimed to add the lack of research on IPV within the LGBTQ+ community and provide insight to the experiences of LGBTQ+ folx. It also sought out to advocate for the inclusion of LGBTQ+ folx within IPV screenings, interventions, and resources.
