Notes:	This booklet describes a study conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Bangladesh, Brazil, Japan, Namibia, Peru, Samoa, Tanzania and Thailand to research domestic violence against women from a public health perspective. Some of the study’s effects explored are that it is raising awareness and guiding policy interventions. Similarly, interviewers and respondents reported that the study made them re-think, re-analyse and re-evaluate their life’s experiences. The booklet also indicates the future goals, resources utilised and WHO’s role.
