dc.description.notes"DRAFT" "JUNE 2000"<br/ >Developed to assist people coming into professional contact with those affected by domestic/family violence, including victims, perpetrators and children who witness and/or experience the violence, this booklet provides an overview of the Partnerships Against Domestic Violence (PADV) competency standards and how they might be implemented in various practice settings. A background to the purpose and utility generally of competency standards is presented, and the specific ways in which the PADV competency standards will become part of the already-endorsed Community Services Training Package are outlined. How the standards might be incorporated into existing organisational training packages is addressed and sample qualification requirements for a range of professional contexts included. The national assessment and training processes that will be used to implement the standards are also set out in a series of flow charts and tables.en
