Is a fact sheet on Aboriginal family violence and strategies and dispute resolution that aboriginal women have applied to deal with problems in their communities, challenging the myth that violence against women is traditional. ¬ 7. Details the career of Sarah Nelson, who was commissioned to design the logo for the Aboriginal Family Violence Strategy ( the logo can be seen at the following URL: http://www.owp.nt.gov.au/dcm/owp/AFVstrategy.shtml ) ¬ 2. There are 2 pamphlets which explain what the Aboriginal Family Strategy is and the effects of violence on the community. One pamphlet is in English and the other is in Creole. These pamphlets list contact information for the strategy police legal services specific Aboriginal services available in Darwin, Alice Springs, East Arnhem, Katherine and Tennant Creek and emergency accommodation. ¬ 1. Trabul gadim hasbin o la femli o la komyuniti -Is translated from the NT police domestic violence pamphlet in Creole. It explains what a domestic violence order is and lists the telephone contact numbers for the police, counsellors, crisis service and health services in the Katherine area. The sticker and poster contain the message that family violence is not the Aboriginal way.
