Notes:  General Overview: :This Australian booklet uses the drawings of children who have experienced abuse and family violence to explain abuse and trauma, recovery and hope.

Objective: :The booklet is targeted at a general audience, aimed at informing readers’ understanding of how child abuse affects children and encouraging a commitment to prevent child abuse.

Discussion: :The report is divided into four sections. Each is illustrated with children’s drawings and accompanied by children’s explanations of their drawings, as well as an explanation of the various ways children are affected by abuse. The first three chapters focus on the experiences of children and are titled Abuse and Trauma, Recovery and Hope. The final chapter, Play Your Part, outlines how anyone can help prevent child abuse.
