Developed to assist in the implementation of routine screening for domestic violence in state wide NSW Health Services, this package contains general information for practitioners on how to incorporate routine screening into their service and presents the evaluation report for the pilot project Unless They’re Asked – Routine Screening for Domestic Violence in NSW Health:. The Working Party’s response to the key recommendations of the evaluation report is outlined and a detailed protocol for routine screening for domestic violence is provided. The protocol sets out guidelines for who should screen and when and how screening should be carried out, and identifies a range of possible outcomes and scenarios practitioners must be prepared to deal with. Eleven modules aimed at preparing practitioners to implement screening processes are included, as is a series of overheads, a screening flowchart, a copy of the NSW Health Screening for Domestic Violence form and a Domestic Violence is Wrong information card.
