This research report evaluates the effectiveness of Child-At-Risk (CAR) electronic medical record (eMR) alerts in enhancing information sharing about concerns related to interpersonal violence, abuse, and neglect. Conducted within NSW Health settings, the study examines whether CAR alerts improve child protection responses and cross-agency collaboration. Drawing on mixed methods, including stakeholder interviews and administrative data analysis, the findings suggest that while CAR alerts support timely sharing of concerns and visibility across services, they also raise issues regarding implementation, standardisation, and follow-up. The report offers recommendations for improving system integration and promoting more responsive care for children at risk.en
