This UK report highlights the considerable need for further research on women rough sleepers, aiming for more accurately representative statistics than currently known. The authors propose possible reasons for the lack of information relating specifically to women, including the desire to stay hidden for personal safety, stigma surrounding help-seeking and lack of knowledge of existing services.<br/ ><br/ >Homeless women in Hungary, Spain, Sweden and the UK were interviewed, and a detailed account of the two-strand qualitative research study is given. This is followed by an analysis of findings and recommendations for future practice and improved service provision. It is envisioned that a specialised framework of service provision, policy and practice be built across Europe.en
