| dc.description.notes | The Standing Committee on Social Issues was tasked with inquiring into and reporting on domestic violence trends and issues in New South Wales (NSW), with a particular focus on the use of GPS bracelets, prevention, early intervention and examining the adequacy of existing penalties for domestic violence. This follows from a report released by the NSW Auditor General in 2011 into the performance of government agencies responsible for prevention, early intervention and tertiary responses to domestic violence.
