Notes:	This is a comprehensive final report for the Kurdistan Regional Government on the experience of so-called ‘honour’-based killings in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and amongst the Kurdish diaspora in the United Kingdom (UK). The authors discuss the universalism of ‘honour’ killings. This discussion is grounded in a gendered understanding of violence against women. The report also canvasses cultural manifestations of such violence which are influenced by patriarchal structures, traditional gender roles and religion. The authors conducted 131 in-depth interviews with victims, police officials and caseworkers, and provide snapshots of these case studies.
