This Action Plan was produced in conjunction with a study commissioned by the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) into ‘honour’-based violence in the period from 2008 to 2010. The plan contains practical recommendations for the government to promote the issue of ‘honour’ based killings, and develop short-term and longer-term strategies to prevent the practice. The document also outlines strategies undertaken in the UK to combat the practice.en
