Notes:	This US-based report provides background information and recommended guidelines for community corrections professionals and allied justice system and community-based services working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. The guidelines were compiled based on site visits, focus groups, workshops and collecting information from existing programs around the US. The first section of the report outlines reasons for intervention, fundamental concepts, legal issues, issues related to cultural diversity and the goal and principles of the guidelines. The remaining chapters of the report address guidelines for professionalism and ethical practice, case investigations, community supervision and enforcement, victim safety and autonomy and batterer intervention programs.
