This report is an updated and restructured version of the background paper originally written for the Victorian government on the primary prevention of violence against immigrant and refugee women in Victoria. This revised version has been expanded to be relevant for all of Australia. With guidance from an advisory committee this publication was developed based on a literature review, a service provider workshop and individual consultations. There are four parts to the report which address: a brief introduction to violence against immigrant and refugee women and violence prevention approaches, discussion of the key groups of women to prioritise in violence prevention efforts, primary prevention strategies, and key recommendations for action.en
