Notes:  This annual report summarises 2009 data from 15 organisations in the US that focus on the response and prevention of domestic and intimate partner violence among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities (LGBTQ). The data provides a foundation for documenting the prevalence, demographics and trends of LGBTQ intimate partner violence. Findings also include how LGBTQ intimate partner violence is defined and barriers to accessing services and support. It also includes recommendations for policy-makers and community organisation and services providers. The report also considers the impact of the economic crisis on organisations’ capacity to respond.
