Notes:  This report presents the findings of a systematic review to determine the effectiveness of ten US-based studies of second responder programs in preventing repeat incidents of family violence. The authors found that the programs did not have an impact on reoccurring violence but did increase the likelihood that victims would report repeat incidents to the police.
