Notes:  This report gives an account on the research and consultation of the Kimberley Regional Justice Project. The project seeks to work with Aboriginal people and communities in the Kimberley to improve the performance of the justice system at community level, in the courts and in the prisons. People's perceptions about the system were gathered and analysed to inform the strategies of the Department of Justice. Some of the ideas suggested and discussed refer to keeping people out of trouble, understanding the legal process, punishment, court orders and prisoners' programmes.
