dc.description.notes | This second action plan forms part of the ACT Women’s Plan, and builds on the work of the ACT Government’s policy framework and inaugural action plan, Justice, Options and Prevention – working to make the lives of ACT women safe:. It aims for Government agencies to work towards the goals of: a justice system that provides protection, support and advocacy for women; provision of appropriate, accessible and responsive assistance for women; and acknowledging the right of women to live their lives free from violence. The 3 outcome areas are: protection and justice; options for women; and prevention of violence. There are 14 measures of success for guiding the monitoring progress against this plan. Current key areas of focus are: review of legislation and legal processes for women experiencing violence; strengthening services that support women and children experiencing violence; and working with the community to prevent violence against women. A summary of progress activities is given. A detailed action plan, which identifies Government strategies, how they will be done and performance measures to assess progress, is also included in table format. | en |
