Provides an annual report on the work of the Central Violence Intervention Program (CVIP), an interagency initiative involving the Courts Administration Authority, the Department of Correctional Services, the Department of Human Services, the Salvation Army and the South Australian Police Service, in an effort to reduce the incidence and impact of domestic violence. A breakdown of the programme’s male, female and child participants is provided in tabular form and patterns emerging from the data are identified – for example, levels of previous contact with domestic violence services by female participants and the percentage of male participants still residing with their partner. The report is concluded by a series of programme notes on each of the service areas that highlight key trends, areas of concern and strategies for future development.
