See also "Crisis accommodation program : delivery plan : 2003/2004" on our Research & Resources database<br/ >The Crisis Accommodation Program (CAP), administered by the NSW Office of Community Housing, provides funds to community-based services that address homelessness. This plan outlines the actions to be executed in 2002/2003, and the priority areas that require funding. Some of the strategies include additional accommodation options for Aboriginal people, improved services for homeless people with complex needs (including women and children escaping domestic violence), assistance for accessing unsupported tenancies, and replacement of CAP properties. The allocation of funds is based on the population distribution, 70 per cent for the metropolitan region and 30 per cent for the remaining areas. A number of initiatives that will influence the future funding are also mentioned.en
