Notes:	"A summary of the review into all matters related to violence against women" This summary document reports on a review conducted in October and November 2001 to improve the performance of Victoria Police on matters related to violence against women. The review focused on the available statistical data to understand violence against women, the Victoria Police response and community satisfaction. A number of services were consulted, showing an increase in the prevalence and reporting of family violence; low incidents of violence against women where the perpetrator is a stranger; failures in the internal procedures of the Family Violence Strategy; and unmet victim and community expectations. Twenty-five recommendations are presented.
