dc.description.notes"This report was jointly funded by the Commonwealth Departments of the Attorney-General and Family and Community Services."<br/ >For more information see 'Out of the maze : pathways to the future for families experiencing separation' and 'Government response to the Family Law Pathways Advisory Group report : May 2003' on our Research and Resources Database.<br/ >This brief report provides an overview of the complete report of the same name and includes the latter's recommendations. The Family Law Pathways Advisory Group, chaired by Des Semple and including academic, legal, government and non-government representatives, was charged with the mission of providing high-level advice to the government on how to improve the family law system. The report to the Minister for Family and Community Services and the Attorney-General is a result of consultation with consumers, service providers and special interest groups from every State and Territory, as well as from submissions from the public, commissioned research and a literature review. Its 28 recommendations focus on the areas of providing effective support systems for families, coordinating client-focused information and services and constructing pathways that are both clearly defined and appropriate.en
