dc.description.notes"May 1996"<br/ >Provides an overview of the Northern Territory Domestic Violence Standards Project funded under the Domestic Violence Strategy. Outlines the aims of the project as a two phase process. The first phase included collection of information and consultation with experts and focus groups for the purposes of identifying competencies and outlining issues associated with the registration of domestic violence counsellors. The second phase involved developing recognised training standards as a foundation for the development for competency based training modules. Breaks information collected into task and performance criteria or outcomes and examines different variables. Concludes that as a result of the project, training and service standards have been identified for the domestic violence sector which should inform the base for a competency based curriculum for delivery through the Northern Territory vocational education sector.en
