Title: Somewhere safe to call home : violence against women during homelessness
Authors: Murray, Suellen
Keywords: Health;Mental health;Service provision;Housing
Year: 2009
Publisher: RMIT University
Notes:  Overview: This report documents the experiences of 29 women recruited from The Salvation Army Crisis Services in St Kilda, Victoria whose recent homeless status was precipitated primarily by violence. The authors seek to provide evidence of the need for increased services in this area which address safety issues as well as provide long term housing solutions.

Recommendations are made which align with the government’s Homelessness Taskforce report, The road home: a national approach to reducing homelessness:, but also stress the importance of gender in dealing with this issue.
