It was found that in cases of domestic violence, a child’s functioning and emotional well-being may be affected. The impact on the child depends upon a variety of factors. If the non-offending parent is in increased danger, the danger to the child also increases. Parenting practices and relationships make a difference.<br/ ><br/ >The guide suggests ways to develop more effective improvement plans for child welfare programs.
